On August 2, 2019, the Association invited several dozen local SME entrepreneurs and human resource practitioners to attend the “”How Would You Motivate Your Employees to Stick Around?” Workshop jointly with the MP HR Community from Hong Kong. Vivian Yeung, the Operational Director of top human resource company – Andrew Found, was invited to share new and old human resource strategy.
Vivian suggested that the retention problem will begin at the employment stage. Instead of hastily employed someone to fill the vacancy, the employer should give due consideration to what kind of person they really want. Humane strategy should be adopted to retain capable employees as soon as practicable, for instance, flexible working hours, “Half Day Friday”, reduction of unnecessary meeting. These will enhance employee’s sense of belonging to the company and reduce their desire to quit.
President Mr. Stanley Au Chong-kit shared his views on human resource management, he thinks that it requires regular, open, fair and respectful communication.
Vice President, Mr. Lao Meng-ian, shared his company’s policies.
Vice supervisor, Ms. Chu Lai-peng shared her predicaments of retaining employee.
Participant performed enthusiastically.
The atmosphere was great.
